AbstrART Exhibition
19th March 2011 - 9th April 2011
Kicking off Devorgilla Gallery's 2011 exhibition programme is AbstrART, featuring the work of local abstract artists Ed Slater and Kenneth Ikin.
For the last 15 years, Ed has been experimenting with mixed media in the hope of producing something unique and Devorgilla Gallery believes he has most certainly achieved this; his use of liquid glass paint, nature and imagination creates stunning creations which he refers to as "Contemporary Cave".
Kenneth uses a very different approach, which results in equally arousing outcomes. Mostly with the use of a knife, he produces heavily textured surfaces, expressing his reactions to life's unseen experiences - shadows, echoes and fragments of perception.
AbstraART's doors will be open and welcome to all to offer some inspiration for 2011 and future years to come...
