Julie Dumbarton
Infusing her work with vibrant colour, Julie Dumbarton finds the landscape of southern Scotland a constant source of inspiration. Growing up in the natural outdoor play-park that is the Lake District, she bases her works on memories and images that have lasted the test of time. Julie is now based in Langholm. She seeks to inspire a love and a nurturing of the natural world through her work, and re-lives similar childhood times that were had outside with her own children .
Julie's works are inspired from feelings as opposed to something more literal like words. They are dreamlike and nostalgic yet contemporary. Her pieces are growing increasingly sought after and she has held solo exhibitions throughout Scotland & northern England showcasing her atmospheric & melancholic paintings.
