Shirley Weatherup
Shirley was born in Wetherby, Yorkshire and worked for many years in the Dales, where she was able to paint in the beautiful area.
Years later, and now based in Dumfries & Galloway, Shirley attended evening classes with the local, talented John Crolla and with his encouragement & inspiration she concentrated on landscapes in watercolour & pastels - ‘a very happy memory’!
In 2010, Shirley was invited to join the Hightae Art Group. She says their mutual interest in painting encourages much discussion in an informal setting.
Shirley has exhibited & sold paintings across both Yorkshire and Dumfries & Galloway.
